The Challenge

BUMP Coffee needed a new eCommerce platform that would do more than just sell coffee. It had to reflect the brand's counter-culture identity, drive growth in their subscription model, and support the launch of a community-driven ambassador program. The core goals were: • Develop an eCommerce site that fully embodies BUMP Coffee’s surf and travel-inspired brand • Increase subscription sign-ups and streamline the user journey • Launch and promote the XPLORER Ambassador Program to attract loyal customers and influencers

The Approach

Brand-Centric Design: We embedded BUMP Coffee’s origin story into the site through surf-inspired graphics, vibrant visuals, and travel photography from sourcing trips in South America. This created a strong emotional and visual tie to the brand’s ethos. User Experience: We implemented a clean interface with simplified navigation, mobile responsiveness, and an optimized checkout experience. This ensured customers could easily browse, buy, and subscribe on any device. Subscription Optimization: We developed a frictionless subscription sign-up flow with customizable options for blends and delivery frequency. Conversion incentives like first-time discounts and referral rewards helped drive adoption. Ambassador Program Launch: A dedicated page featured ambassador profiles, personal stories, and favorite products. To support awareness, we executed email campaigns, social media pushes, and in-store signage promoting the program. Community and Content Integration: Interactive features like a community events calendar and a blog sharing travel and surf stories helped deepen connection with the brand while improving SEO and return engagement.
